The Spanish Island Swim is coming up on Saturday 29 October, with proceeds going to the Wild Atlantic Pool.

We’re very excited about this event!  But we need help with the following:

– Registration at Baltimore Sailing Club, 2-3pm.  We need a couple of helpers for this, to make sure all our swimmers are accounted for!

– Timekeepers — the swim starts at 3:30pm, and we need people to log starting and finishing times against swimmers’ numbers on a sheet.

– Observers on land near the swim course, and on the water — we need people to keep an eye on the swim and report  anything needed.  We also need boats and kayakers to accompany the swim.

The race starts and finishes in Hackett’s Creek, so swimmers will be ferried from BSC to the start point and back at the end of the race for hot showers!  This is in hand, but if you can help, please shout.

And don’t forget the coffee morning the day after the swim, where you can come buy cakes, home produce, books, and more — and have a nice cup of coffee and a chat at the same time!  10:30-1 in the Community Hall on Sunday 30 October, and donations of cakes etc. are gratefully accepted.

Many thanks to everyone who can help out!
